The 2008 Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and Museum Induction Gala will be held the evening of July 20 at the Duke Energy Center in downtown Cincinnati. The Gala caps off the activities for Induction Weekend, which celebrates this year's new class of inductees.

50th Anniversary Celebration Underway New Exhibits and the Return of Induction Weekend Highlight Hall's Golden Anniversary Year
The Reds Hall of Fame's 50th Anniversary has kicked off in a major way with the premier of two new exhibits: The Ol' Lefthander: A Tribute to Joe Nuxhall and Cincinnati's Reds: A Celebration of A City and Its Team.
"The Ol' Lefthander" pays tribute to the late Joe Nuxhall, the pitcher turned broadcaster who became the most beloved figure in the history of the Cincinnati Reds. With the assistance of Joe's family, friends and numerous Reds fans, a wide range of artifacts from throughout Joe's remarkable career are on display, many of them for the first time. Visitors to the exhibit will also see a special film tribute to Joe and can revisit some of his most memorable calls on special listening stations designed specifically for this exhibit. "The Ol' Lefthander" is a moving tribute to an irreplaceable man.
"Cincinnati's Reds" combines an 80-foot graphic timeline, period artifacts from the careers of each of the 75 members of the Reds Hall of Fame and what is believed to be the largest team picture mural ever created to celebrate the Reds' special link to the city of Cincinnati. In doing so, the exhibit highlights the exclusive group of 75 players, managers and executive who have been honored with induction to the Reds Hall of Fame.
In addition to the two new exhibits, plans are well underway for Induction Weekend 2008, scheduled for July 19 and 20. A host of activities and event will take place around the weekend that will be capped off with the 2008 Induction Gala. New inductees Barry Larkin, Cesar Geronimo and Joey Jay will appear at the event along with many previous inductees and Reds alumni who will be on hand to honor the Hall's newest members.
The 2008 Induction Gala will be held the evening of July 20 at the Duke Energy Center in downtown Cincinnati. Tickets are $150 for Hall of Fame members and $165 for non-members.
